What can I bring to my boudoir photo session?
For your boudoir photo session, bringing the right items can help you feel comfortable, confident, and ready to express yourself. Here’s a list of things you might consider bringing:
1. Lingerie / Outfits
Bring a variety of outfits that make you feel good about yourself. This could include:
- Lingerie sets: Lace, satin, or any fabric that feels luxurious.
- Robes: A silky robe can give a soft, elegant vibe.
- Corsets or bodysuits: For a more structured look.
- Oversized shirts or sweaters: A cozy but sexy look.
- Heels or boots: If you want to add a little height or glam.
- Bridal wear (if it’s a gift for a partner) or any special outfits for the occasion.
2. Jewelry & Accessories
- Simple jewelry: A delicate necklace, bracelets, or earrings can add subtle elegance without taking away from the focus on you.
- Hair accessories: Maybe a cute hair clip or headband if you want to add a little flair.
- Gloves or scarves: For a more dramatic, vintage-inspired feel.
3. Shoes
- Bring a few pairs of shoes that you feel comfortable and confident in, whether that’s heels, boots, or even something more casual if you want a more laid-back look.
4. Props (Optional)
- A meaningful item: Something that has sentimental value to you, like a special scarf, a favorite book, or a meaningful piece of jewelry.
- Veils or hats: If you want to add an extra layer of drama or playfulness.
- Blankets or throws: For cozy, wrapped-up shots.
5. Makeup & Hair Products
- If you’re doing your own hair and makeup, bring the products you’re comfortable with to touch up between shots.
- Lip balm and a setting spray to ensure your makeup stays fresh.
6. Underwear and Basics
- It’s always a good idea to have a few pairs of neutral-colored underwear and a well-fitted bra to start with. You can mix and match these with other outfits or accessories to build different looks.
7. Nude or Neutral Clothing
- If you want to start the session with something more casual or relaxed, bring nude or neutral-colored clothing (like a simple tank top or nude undergarments) for a natural, no-makeup look.
8. Confidence & Positive Energy
- While not a physical item, bringing a confident and open mindset is key to having a successful session. Wear your confidence as your best accessory, and remember—it’s all about celebrating you!
